My number one priority during any session is to make authentic photos. To show kids exactly as they are. I love the opportunity to capture people's joy of being in the company of their family and loved ones. The other side of that coin is sometimes authenticity is a kid who's really grumpy or tired. If you love the sassy, grumpy, sleepy photos just as much as the happy ones, you're in the right place!

I love the opportunity to work with middle schoolers and high schoolers just as much as I enjoy the little ones. Teens and tweens are their own delightful kind of weird and I always have a blast trying to coax their true selves out during a session. It's important to me that edits of teenagers come out as true to life as possible. That means I'll do the bare minimum of retouching on their skin & I won't remove braces. Especially during the social media age, I want these kids to know that they are absolutely beautiful the way they are in real life.

You reach out via my contact page & we schedule a consultation to go over your plans and vision for the session. This is most often over phone or zoom but I'm happy to do consultations in person if you'd like to check out the studio.
the process

We schedule your date & I send you an outfit guide to help you pick out the perfect ensemble for your kid or family portraits. I'm also totally available for text conversations or facetimes to go over outfits you've picked out!

Shoot day! We'll listen to your favorite music, crack jokes, and have small talk while I pose and snap great natural photos along the way. I'll encourage kids to be themselves by asking them jump around, dance, or make silly faces.
After the session I'll go through all of the photos and choose the best ones to upload to your online proofing gallery. You'll go through the gallery and favorite all the shots you'd like processed and delivered. Final images are delivered within 2 weeks of your session date.

Albums & wall art. Once you get the link to your final gallery you can download your high resolution photos to post online & place orders for any heirlooms that catch your eye. I offer beautiful custom albums, framed wall art, and even stationery like holiday cards.

lifestyle sessions
Lifestyle sessions are perfect for celebrating your day to day life. If you and your kids love to picnic at the park, or your high school senior loves to hang out downtown, I'm happy to join you for a creative session in your natural environment.

I believe wholeheartedly that great photos are not just for the able bodied & neurotypical. I am happy to make any accommodations that you may need to ensure a comfortable and fulfilling experience. Travel fees can be waived for those who use mobility aids or those with sensory needs who prefer studio portraits be taken in their own environments.
