Q&A With Sumter Dog Walker Nicole’s Pet Care

As a pet photographer, I have to have my finger on the pulse of the pet scene here in Sumter. I’ve been following Nicole Browne-Brunson, the owner of Nicole’s Pet Care LLC for quite some time now. When my mother decided to hire her to walk her new puppy Ernie (sweet baby angel pictured below), and had nothing but great things to say about her, I knew I had to sit down and ask her a few questions to get to know more about Nicole and her business.

Q&A

Mia: Tell me about yourself! Are you a Sumter native?

Nicole: I am not a Sumter native. I moved to Sumter in 2018 with my husband and our children and I absolutely love it here!

M: I assume you have pets of your own, I’d love to hear all about them.

N: I have 1 dog, named Thunder and 3 cats, Mittens, August and Auggie. I absolutely love my fur babies dearly!

M: From my family’s personal experience working with you I know your work days can start really early! Out of curiosity, how long do your days usually run?

N: My work days can start as early as 5:00am and end as late at 10:00pm.

M: What drew you to become a pet care professional and what is your background in pet care?

N: I have over 15 years experience as a professional dog walker and pet sitter. My company is licensed, insured and bonded. I am a member of Pet Sitters International (PSI), the world’s largest educational association for professional pet sitters. I am also a certified professional pet sitter. I obtained that certification through PSI. I love serving the pets and families of our local Sumter area and caring and connecting with animals and creating everlasting relationships. I provide care for your fur baby as if they were my own, and ensure that they receive the highest quality care while you’re away.

M: Let’s get down to business. What areas do you serve and how can folks who are interested in hiring you get in contact with you?

N: I provide pet care services in Sumter, South Carolina! Prospective clients can get in contact with me by phone at 803-262-9451, through my website at www.nicolespetcare.com on Facebook at www.facebook.com/nicolespetcarellc and Instagram at www.instagram.com/nicoles_pet_care_llc

M: Other than your background in pet care, what’s the most important thing for potential clients to know about working with you?

N: I provide pet care service where pets are most comfortable and familiar: in their own home environment.
