Dr. Addie Williams is praised for going above and beyond to ensure the health and wellbeing of her patients. Each member of the staff makes sure the patients have a thorough understanding of their pets condition so any and all worries are soothed. This is a very busy clinic but from personal experience, if your pet needs to see a vet right away Peach Orchard will do everything they can to squeeze you in. Highly recommend!

2. Hudson Veterinary Hospital

Dr. Kevin Hudson provides preventative care, internal medicine, surgery, radiology, stem cell therapy, and lab services. Nearly all of their reviews mention the knowledgable and friendly staff, and many people have expressed how thankful they are for Dr. Hudson’s patience in soothing their worries and explaining every detail of their pets condition. Hudson’s care and services are definitely valued by our community. They are a busy office so make sure you call to get your preventative care appointments made in advance just in case there’s a wait for getting in to see the doctor.

Advanced Veterinary Hospital and Dr. Chris Gerard have been serving Sumter since 1998. They provide pet wellness and vaccination programs, diagnostics, surgery services including spay and neuter, dental cleanings, radiology, and more. Dr. Gerard is very thorough with each pet’s exam and makes sure to go over any concerns he has about their condition whether related to the topic of the visit or not. Since covid, Advanced Veterinary Hospital has not returned to regular in office visits. The receptionist will come retrieve your pet and bring it inside where Dr. Gerard will examine them and call you on the phone to carry out the visit while you stay outside in your car. Dr. Gerard is praised in reviews for his patience, empathy, and extensive knowledge of vet care.
